in whom they believed
others whom they loved
and trusted
life stolen from them
all their love
snatched
their dreams and hopes
their lives
as they knew them
their love
their trust
stripped
ripped
ruthlessly
from them
from the innocents
and
there lay their exposed souls
loveless
lifeless
wrapped
concealed
to be done away with
rolled up in the
rug of wrongdoing
to be tossed away
like yesterday’s garbage
and he
now taking
the lives of those
he proclaimed
to love more than
his own life
wrapping their
empty skeletons like
duct-taped disposable bags
to be tossed into
the dumping grounds
of his own
sinful acts of
infidelity
as he
with those acts of infidelity
committed the murder
of
love
